1) Ramaiah Institute of Technology [RIT] Bangalore

Ramaiah Institute of Technology also abridged as RIT, was previously known by the name M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, also abridged as MSRIT. RIT is a pre-eminent autonomous private engineering college located in Bangalore in the Southern state of Karnataka. RIT was Established in the year 1962 and was affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University. RIT was given academic autonomy for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in August 2007. While VTU still awards the degrees. That means RIT has academic autonomy in framing its schemes of study, curricula, and student evaluation. RIT offers both undergraduate and graduate programs of study and research including Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Technology, Bachelor of Engineering and offers programs that lead to the award of a PhD in various disciplines. RIT also acts as a research centre in 12 different areas of studies including management and engineering disciplines.

2) The International Institute of Information Technology, [IIIT] Bangalore

The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore also abridged either as IIIT Bangalore or IIITB is a pre-eminent private technical and research university in the city of Bangalore. The Institute is registered as a “not-for-profit society” funded jointly by the IT industry under a public-private partnership model and the Government of Karnataka. The academy is managed by a Governing Body with Kris Gopalakrishnan as the chairperson who is also the Co-founder of Infosys Ltd. The university offers an Integrated MTech program which means it is a Dual Degree of Btech and Mtech together, Master of Science by Research, Master of Technology also abridged as MTech, Doctor of Philosophy also abridged as PhD and MSc in Digital Society degrees with various specializations. 3) Rashtriya Vidyalaya College of Engineering, [RVCE] Bangalore

Rashtriya Vidyalaya College of Engineering also abbreviated as either RVCE or RV College of Engineering is a pre-eminent autonomous private technical co-educational college in the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. RVCE was established in 1963 and presently has 11 departments in engineering, a Master of Computer Applications department, and one school in architecture. The academy is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University also abridged as VTU in Belgaum. The undergraduate courses of RVCE are granted full academic autonomy by the university. RVCE is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education also abridged as AICTE and all its departments are accredited by the NBA also expanded as National Board of Accreditation. The institute is managed by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust also abridged as RSST. The administrative offices of Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust or simply RSST are located in Jayanagar of Bangalore. Dr Panduranga Setty is the chairman of the Trust.

4) BMS College of Engineering, [BMSCE] Bangalore

B.M.S. College of Engineering also abbreviated as BMSCE is a pre-eminent autonomous engineering college in Basavanagudi of Bangalore city in India. BMSCE was established in 1946 by Bhusanayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah and is operated by the B.M.S. Educational Trust. BMSCE is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University also abridged as VTU. The academy was granted academic autonomy in 2008. Even though it is a private engineering college, BMSCE is also partially sponsored by the Government of Karnataka.

5) PES University, Bangalore

People’s Education Society University Ring Road Campus also abridged either as PESU RR or just PESU. The academy was previously known as PES Institute of Technology also abridged as PESIT, is one of the three pre-eminent private universities under the name PES University in Bengaluru. PESU was established in 1972 and mainly emphasizes five main educational areas: Life Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Management, and Law. The academy offers both foundational courses in these fields, as well as specializations, along with either a Bachelor’s, Master or PhD degree. The institute was upgraded to University status in 2013. The institute admits students based on: 40% of its students to undergraduate courses based on their Karnataka CET ranks While the other 60% of its students are based on the university’s entrance test ranks known as PESSAT. Students holding diploma degrees can directly enter the second year of study in engineering which is a lateral entry scheme in place by which on graduating, students will receive a Bachelor of Technology degree also abridged as a B.Tech degree. For postgraduate courses, the students are admitted based on their Post Graduate Karnataka CET scores as well as GATE test scores. Upon graduating they are awarded a Master of Technology degree also abridged as an M.tech degree.

6) New Horizon College of Engineering, [NHCE] Bangalore

The New Horizon College of Engineering also abbreviated as NHCE is a pre-eminent autonomous private engineering college located near Marathahalli of Bangalore city in India. NHCE was established in 2001 and is affiliated with the New Horizon Educational Institution which was founded in 1970. Presently over 5500 students are admitted to NHCE with over 350 academic staff.

Jain University, officially Jain is soon Deemed-to-be University, JU is a higher education institute which is deemed to be a University located in the heart of Bangalore, India. Previously it was known as Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, which was granted the deemed-to-be-university status back in 2009. Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering also abridged as DSCE is a pre-eminent autonomous engineering college in Bengaluru of Karnataka state. DSCE is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University also abridged as VTU in Belgaum. Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology also abbreviated as NMIT is a pre-eminent autonomous engineering college in Bangalore, Karnataka state. 10) BMS Institute of Technology and Management, [BMSITM] Bangalore

The B.M.S. Institute of Technology and Management is a pre-eminent private engineering college in the city of Bangalore in the Karnataka state of India. BMS Institute of Technology and Management is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University often simply abridged as VTU in Belgaum. BMS Institute of Technology and management was founded by BS Narayana who is also the son of prominent educationist B M Sreenivasaiah. The academy is managed by the BMS Educational Trust. This academy is also the sister institution of B M S College of Engineering, which is a well-established and prominent government-aided engineering college in India. B.M.S. Institute of Technology is accredited as a research centre by its parent university Visvesvaraya Technological University often simply abridged as VTU. Initially, the BMS Institute of Technology and management started out with only six disciplines of engineering, namely; Information science, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The academy also offers a Bachelor of Engineering degree also abridged as B.tech in Machine Learning, Information Science, and Artificial Intelligence, in addition to Bachelor of Engineering degrees in the five aforementioned disciplines it also offers a Bachelor of Architecture degree. 11) B.N.M Institute of Technology, [BNMIT]Bangalore

B.N.M. Institute of Technology expanded as Bhageerathi Bai Narayana Rao Maanay Institute of Technology is a pre-eminent private technical co-educational engineering education institution located in Bangalore district of Karnataka state in India. BNMIT was established in 2001 and is affiliated to its parent university Visvesvaraya Technological University often simply abridged as VTU in Belgaum. Shri. N. Raghunath Rao Maanay who is the Managing Trustee – along with the founder Secretary and Principal Prof. Sunanda P Jadhav founded the institution with an emphasis on the vision to impart its students a value-based quality education irrespective of religious, social, or financial status. The National Institutional Ranking Framework of simply abridged as NIRF has ranked the institute 186 among all engineering colleges in India in the year 2020.
