Horror Movies to Watch with Your Roomies at Your PG

Living in a PG can certainly come with a lot of perks. Making new friends, hanging out over the weekends, shopping, and movie nights are just some of these. Bunking together, all huddled up, watching a horror movie marathon can be just as fun, provided you have stocked up on a ton of snacks and have each other to hang on to. So, do you have a horror movie night planned at your girl’s PG near Galgotias University? Here are some of the movies you should watch to make your blood curdle.

If you and your roomies enjoy watching scary movies in Hindi, here’s what should be on your list – 

Raaz –

The 2002 Bipasha Basu, Dino Morea starrer Raaz was a trendsetter that prompted a slew of horror movie releases in Bollywood. Inspired by the Hollywood movie ‘What Lies Beneath, Raaz is a scary story of a newlywed couple who move to Ooty only to find her husband in jeopardy due to a ghost haunting.

Ek Thi Daayan –

The 2013 supernatural thriller Ek Thi Daayan featured a number of stars like Konkona Sen Sharma, Emraan Hashmi, and Kalki Koechlin. The story revolves around a magician and his sinister childhood which is haunted by a bloodthirsty witch. The flight between the two takes epic proportions in the present.

Bhoot –

This 2003 Urmila Matondkar starrer is sure to elicit a number of screams and nightmares. The story involves a young couple who buy a new apartment in a high rise but the woman soon comes to be possessed by the spirits of the previous occupant out to get vengeance.

Darna Mana Hai –

Darna Mana Hai is 2003 anthology featuring 6 horror stories. Each of the stories will make want to scream and tremble. The stories featured some of the top star cast in Bollywood and some of the best directors as well.

The Conjuring –

The start of the Conjuring series, The Conjuring is one of the very best and the very scariest horror movies you can watch. It’s a story based on the real investigative reports of Ed and Lorraine Warren. This first film is based on the lives of a Perron family and their haunted house in Rhode Island.

Train to Busan –

Based on a zombie apocalypse, the Train to Busan is about travellers trying to survive a zombie attack on board a high-speed train. Not knowing whom to trust is part of the thrill of this movie.

The Blair Witch Project –

This super scary movie was released at the Sundance Film Festival and documents the project of a group of film students following the legend of the Blair Witch. This is one of the best-loved movies of this genre.

Hush –

Released at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, this is a story of a hearing-impaired woman trying to evade a serial killer. This slasher movie is one of the scariest and will make your blood go cold.
